1995-1997 - member of Kaunas city Council, Deputy head of the Department of Social Care.
1992-1995 - Co-ordinator of the Industrial Territorial Group of Deputies of the Kaunas City Council .
1995-1996 - member of the Kaunas City Board, Chairman of the Committee of the City Economy.
1995 - Chairman of the Committee of Support of the Independence of Chechenia in Kaunas, Chairman of Sąjūdis Council of Kaunas Branch.
Since 1993 - member of the Homeland Union (Lithuanian Conservatives), member of the Co-ordination Council of Homeland Union (Lithuanian Conservatives) of Kaunas district.
Speaks English and Russian languages.
Wife Zita is an engineer economist, son Audrius is a student of Vytautas Magnus University, daughter Rita is a student of Kaunas University of Medicine.
