Irena Degutienė: Lithuanian-Polish bilateral relations need resetting

Speaker of the Seimas, Mrs Irena Degutienė, states that Lithuania and Poland need to think about resetting their bilateral relations. This is what the Speaker said after the interaction with the Marshal of the Polish Senate, Mr Bogdan Borusewicz, in an informal environment at the new football National Stadium in Warsaw.


The Lithuanian and Polish parliament leaders agreed to jointly search for ways to reset bilateral relations by devoting particular attention to parliamentary relations. The Speaker of the Lithuanian Seimas accepted an invitation from the Marshal of the Polish Senate to participate in the Session of the Trilateral Parliamentary Assembly of Lithuania, Poland, and Ukraine to be held at the end of June in Warsaw.


Mrs Irena Degutienė attended the annual Conference of the Speakers of the European Union Parliaments held in the capital of Poland on 19-21 April 2012.
